On 16 March 2014, a big relay race was organised in support of T1 Diams. The general public was invited to take part either in teams or individually in a big relay starting at Falaise Rouge and finishing at Azuri, Rivière du Rempart. More than 300 Mauritians took part in the various events, cycling, running, swimming and a mad dash race.
The GML Fondation Joseph Lagess and T1 Diams were able to work together on a year-long socio-economic project to help 4 young people aged 9 to 17. The programme involved accompanying these youngsters and their families in their efforts to fight malnutrition by giving them food support, in their search for a job and also by encouraging them to start studying again.
A big thank you to all the participants without whom none of this would have been possible!
